The educationists has
rightly pointed out that, early childhood is a crucial stage of life in terms
of a child’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Growth
of mental and physical abilities progress at an astounding rate and a very high
proportion of learning take place from birth to age six. With this in mind,
babies and toddlers need positive early learning experiences to help their
intellectual, social and emotional development and this lays the foundation for
later school success.
This social dimensional
growth was found when the small children of the three ECCD centres of Jigme,
Singye and Wangchuk villages reciprocated what they have learned during the
special award ceremony held today. The three ECCD centres of Jigme, Singye and
Wangchuk villages have immensely benefited the small children of these three
Lhops’ community. It really helped the children in developing their psycho-motor
skills which prepare them for the later schooling. Thanks to Tarayana
foundation and government for providing such facilities to nurture our innocent
children. Thanks also goes to three caregivers for putting your heart and soul
to mold somebody’s heir. We salute you.
